Finding a place like Trinity

I recently made the decision to move from Atlanta to New York, drawn back to the city that seems to have quite a hold on me. As I spend my last days at Trinity, I’m constantly reminded of how much I enjoy the School, my work and those that I have the opportunity to work with every day. I can’t help but have moments of “why I am leaving this place?” I’m being pulled back to the city I lived in after college based on a nagging feeling that there is more to experience, so I am taking the risk of leaving a job that I find not only fulfilling and challenging but also downright enjoyable.

Coming from the corporate world of public relations and events, I know how lucky we are to work at a place like Trinity where people are encouraged to thrive, grow professionally and are appreciated. Anyone who has had the privilege to be affiliated with Trinity – the students, the parents, the faculty and staff, the alumni – would agree that the sense of community here is unprecedented. I’ve treasured the environment at Trinity and do worry about finding a workplace that I enjoy so much. So as I make this move and seek my next job, I thank Trinity for helping me “flourish” professionally and personally and for teaching me what I am seeking not only in an occupation but also in a work culture.
